Gene Moore

He was a baseball prodigy. At the age of fifteen, Gene Moore was a boy, playing like a man, in a game where men, play like boys.

Headed for baseball stardom with the Brooklyn Dodgers, his destiny was interrupted by
Pearl Harbor.
His life... and
maybe our
national
pastime...
would be
forever altered.

Christmas is Coming!
December 8th 2008

Brrrr... it is cold and snowy in Bourbonnais, Illinois! As I sit and stare out into our back pasture, I find myself thinking about the legs that Playing with the Enemy has sprouted. I am now receiving letters from all over the world. It is truly amazing. Thank you for your continued support and interest in this book. I would not be doing my job if I did not mention that there are still a few 1st edition hardcover copies of Playing with the Enemy and also audio books signed by Toby and I available at our website at the purchase page. They make great Christmas presents but time is running out so please, order now!

The election is over, the shock of our current economic circumstances is beginning to settle and now it is just up to us to pull ourselves together and first survive then thrive! Believe me, it has hit me hard and I find myself reeling from the devastation to my business. But again, we must remain optimistic and not whine about what has happened. It is what it is and we must now come back bigger and stronger than ever before.

We Americans are tough. We are from strong stock. Think of the hardships our ancestors endured to cross the ocean and come to this country. They suffered through much harsher times and had to endure a revolution, a civil war a depression and two world wars. No, in comparison, the times we live in are not as hard. If they endured and thrived, we are no less and will do no less. We do not quit and failure is never our destination but only an occasional bump in our road to success.

Remain strong. Be optimistic. The best years of our life are in our future not our past.

Warmest Regards,

Gary
