Gene Moore

He was a baseball prodigy. At the age of fifteen, Gene Moore was a boy, playing like a man, in a game where men, play like boys.

Headed for baseball stardom with the Brooklyn Dodgers, his destiny was interrupted by
Pearl Harbor.
His life... and
maybe our
national
pastime...
would be
forever altered.

The paperback tour is now over. Thanks to all of you who came out to meet me and hear the story of the “country boy who could hit the ball a country mile.” It was truly my pleasure and I am so grateful for the powerful show of support. Thank you.

Please check the events page often. I will be speaking in Peoria, IL next week, in Anaheim, CA and Naperville and Chicago, IL in June. Please come out and say hi!

I may have mentioned before that this summer I will be marching with the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps Alumni Group (CAC888) in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Cavaliers. The Cavaliers are a competitive music and marching organization with members aging from 16-21. Our Alumni Corps has members from 26 to 75! I am playing in the snare drum line and am having a ball! We will make 4 performances this summer with the culmination of all the efforts being our final appearance at semifinals of Drum Corps International (DCI) Championships in Indianapolis. I am marching with guys I have not seen in 35 years. If you are in the area I hope you will come out and see the corps this summer!

In the meantime, keep talking up the book!

Warmest Regards,

Gary
