The flight attendant just announced we are over Columbus, Ohio, in route from Pittsburgh to St. Louis. I am in St. Louis tonight and Milwaukee tomorrow where the official launch tour of the Playing with the Enemy paperback/audio book will close. I have been from one coast to the other and many stops in between. I have met many outstanding people and enjoyed the privilege of introducing my father to a new group of readers. I am grateful to Branda, Louise and Shannon at Penguin for their hard work and support, while continuing to be grateful to Ted and Sarah at Savas Beatie, LLC for originally publishing the hardcover that began this journey.
I am told that sales are good and continue to grow. Although a book tour is an introduction of the new edition, the real work of turning a book into a bestseller now rests in the hands of readers. If people enjoy the story, they tell others and create more readers. The more they enjoy the story, the more they will talk. It is my sincere hope that you will share your thoughts about Playing with the Enemy with everyone you know. The fate of the story now rests in your hands. If you blog, please also blog about this story. There are many who feel that this story has an outside-underdog chance of making the bestseller lists but it is up to the readers to make that happen. Thank you for your support and continued interest of Playing with the Enemy.
If you are near St. Louis or Milwaukee, please stop in and say hello. You can find schedule and details at the “events” page at www.playingwiththeenemy.com . If I have not been to your area and you would like to help set up an event you can contact Louise Braverman at louise.braverman@us.penguingroup.us.com and request an appearance.
Talk up the book to others and hopefully I will see you soon!
Gary
