Gene Moore

He was a baseball prodigy. At the age of fifteen, Gene Moore was a boy, playing like a man, in a game where men, play like boys.

Headed for baseball stardom with the Brooklyn Dodgers, his destiny was interrupted by
Pearl Harbor.
His life... and
maybe our
national
pastime...
would be
forever altered.

Cleveland and Atlanta Tour Update
April 4th 2008

As usual, I am writing from an airport gate. The sun is not yet up and I am headed to Chicago from Atlanta. Great Lakes Naval Training Center is my destination for a book signing late this morning.

Cleveland: Joseph-Beth Books in Lyndhurst, Ohio was the sight of our Cleveland area signing. I spoke to a charming and enthusiastic group in a beautiful independent book store. Earlier in the day I appeared on the Fox affiliate on “That’s Life” with Robin Swoboda, and a little later on Cleveland Sports Radio.

Atlanta: I appeared on CNN Live on www.cnn.com in the morning and spoke to a great crowd at the Decatur Center for the Book. I was able to spend time with my long-time friend (and fellow Cavalier) Paul Milano who now lives in Atlanta.

Chicago: We recorded an interview for WBEZ, Chicago’s public radio station last week and it aired yesterday, so Playing with the Enemy is gaining and increasing amount of attention.

From all indications, both the Playing with the Enemy paperback and audio book are off to a great start. As a first time author, I certainly need your help, so please talk it up and tell your friends about this story. Father’s Day is on the horizon and what better Father’s Day gift can you find?

Thank you for your continued support and interest in Playing with the Enemy!

More to come...
